Not to take away from anyones thunder, but a big thumbs up goes to Carl for his steady stream of information, hard work, and overall captain capabilities. You are lucky to have him. And you are lucky that Greg is a sick ultimate player, and I am lucky that both of them will be coming to the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, baby!!!! Congradulations on becoming future ducks...
Actually, Dan, Greg is coming to a national calibre team...which means he's coming to Minnesota to play for the Grey Ducks...If you talk to my younger brother without permission, my plans to burn down your university will hasten...(j/k...)...no but really, you touch him and bad things will happen...
Might want to watch out, both of you. I saw Greg talking to a recruiter from the Austin Community College. Southern Minnesota is going to make a NOTABLE comback with top recruits from the midwest. Seniors from Madison West, Rockhurst and even some Winnipagans are attending ACC next year, so it's no surprise they have been looking at Garenson with some intent.
Just a little FYI. Step up the recruiting, stop the First-Year banter and send some Captains to our practices if you want to sway some votes.
2014 practices are over. 2015 practices will start in January.
Winter is for two things: -healing all injuries -getting stronger
be on the lookout for Boys and Girls workout schedules, coming soon.
All players should bring the following to every practice: cleats, a dark shirt, a WHITE (not gray) shirt, your OWN water, and a disc (if you have one). Dress for the weather. We play through all weather (if fields are playable) except thunder and lightning. Every HUrtem is responsible for being Toasty Warm, and for transporting their water/gear TO AND FROM the fields. We leave the field better than we found it
REGISTRATION:
New online forms! Click on the link below and follow the prompts.
The following Tournaments and approx dates are for PLANNING purposes only! I receive many requests for tournament dates, practice days etc... for the entire year. This is quite difficult to do however, I'm trying to inform parents/players as early as possible. I do not have exact dates/times for several events Unless our participation is marked CONFIRMED our involvement is contingent on our 'Bid' being accepted. This means players signed up accurately, parents signed up accurately and their availability to provides transportation and/or chaperone at these events.
NOTE: Many changes are happening with our 'traditional' tournament format. Events we always plan to participate at during the year have changed their dates, bid process or in one case, the tournament itself may not happen this spring. We are exploring alternate options as noted below. The list below is NOT COMPLETE. It is what I have at this time. Thanks, Debbi.
