Due to the weather of the past week, the following have been cancelled: Tomorrows rescheduled game at Bloomington Kennedy, Thursday's game vs, Benilde, and this weekends tournament (Faceoff) in St. Cloud. We will be rescheduling the two league games at a later date and will let everyone know as soon as we have figured out exactly when both teams can do it. As for Faceoff the TD has made us aware that as of now the plan is to have the tournament on the 27th of April. As for today since it is such a lovely day, if you get the chance you should be getting out side and throwing the disc around. As usual keep checking the blog for updates!

"Spring"
Hurtems, Hertets & Parents,
Thank you for your patience while we continue to deal with inclement weather. We are, unfortunately, at the mercy of mother nature and the facilities director at Hopkins in regards to our outdoor season. When both agree that it's time to play some ultimate, we will be launched into very busy weeks while we all make up league games etc.
As of today (4/20) we will not have access to district fields until 4/29.
Please be aware that while snow is still on the ground, there are a few other things to keep in mind:
- It is up to an individual tournament director to determine the fate of their tournament. The St. Cloud tournaments are coming up on 4/20 and 5/4-5/5. We will communicate the TD's decisions as soon as we get them. An optimistic TD may wait until the day before a tournament to give up and cancel the event.
- Player safety is the most important factor that we consider in these conditions. If coaches think fields are in any way dangerous they will cancel practices or reschedule games.
- All League games will need to be rescheduled and played despite the delay so far - this means that when the weather cooperates we will have league games on Tuesdays (girls) and Thursdays (boys) but that we could have make up games on another day of the week depending on field availability and the availability of our opponent. This makes communication with your coaches even more important. That also means that even though the league schedules for the next 4 weeks have been published here: http://mnyu.org/Seasons.aspx, that this website will not update to show accurate reschedules. Parents may want to bookmark this link anyway, as all the field addresses of our opponents are listed.
We know that all of this is inconvenient for family scheduling, and we'll do the best we can to give you advanced warning of practices/games/rescheduling/cancellations, but please understand that all of the teams in MN are struggling with field availability and weather right now. All we can do is our best.
In the mean time, if there is a flat open space near you please feel free to go throw outside. Just be careful and stay toasty warm.
Thanks,
Erin

Varsity trip to Atlanta
Hi everyone; final details for this weekend...better late than never! Sorry they didn't get up earlier this evening! Most of this is confirmation of what you've already received in your emails, but your carpool assignments are new.
Air Tran operates out of Terminal #2.
The boys are being picked up at the front of the High School by the main entry doors at 12:45. The parents driving carpool will be waiting, so please be ready at this time, not just leaving class. Carpools are as follows;
Sarah Norsted Cohen-
Will Cohen
Michael Lieberman
Max Wolk
Jacob Elias
Laura Condon-
Zach Condon
Joe Kohen
Aaron Raskin
Trey Taylor
Dave Spencer-
Braden Spencer
Wyatt Mekler
Zach Merie
Jim Shear-
Zach Shear
Benji Mosow
Boys, please find your car and get situated as quickly as possible so everyone can depart for the airport without wasting too much time. The coaches will be meeting you at the airport. I will be meeting you in Atlanta. Make sure you have your ID. You will get your boarding pass at the airport.
As was discussed at the meeting tonight, you need to bring either a sleeping bag or blanket, and a pillow if you want to sleep with one. Please remember the rule about liquids being less than 3 oz. and having to fit in a quart size Baggie when you go thru security. I know it can seem difficult to think of packing everything in a carryon, but this team has done it many times and made it work. Make sure you have a reusable water bottle with you, and plenty of socks. You'll need money for Friday and Sunday dinners as well as snacks and tournament gear you may want to purchase over the weekend.
Flights are-
Air Tran
Friday, April 12
#7
Departs MSP 2:51, arrives ATL 6:08
Sunday, April 14
#110
Departs ATL 8:55, arrives MSP 10:34
Air Tran operates out of Terminal #2.
I haven't arranged any carpools for Sunday evening; it's usually easiest for people to make plans to drive with those who live close to them when we return late at night. If anyone needs help with a ride, please let me know, otherwise, please let the boys know what to expect so there are no surprises Sunday night.
If you haven't paid yet, please send a check with your player tomorrow!!!
I'm sure Erin will be tweeting, and you can also find information on score reporter.
If you have any other questions, please let me know!
JV Game Cancelled
Tonights JV game vs. Blommington Kennedy has been postponed to a later date due to snow. Make sure that you let all your brothers are aware.

Reminder About Attendance
As mentioned before at the registration meeting and multiple times at practice. If you are not at the practice before the game (unless you have contacted a coach with a valid excuse), you will not be allowed to play in the game that week. A few people have signed up under the signup genius who were not at practice today. You are more welcome to come watch and cheer on you brothers on but you will not be receiving any playing time. We ask that you also post that you are just watching under your name.

GREETINGS:
I am the carpool coordinator for the HURT JV this spring. I have created a signup for us to manage the driving for JV away games. The signup is at http://www.signupgenius.com/ go/5080C4AA4AA29A64-drivers
Also, we need to start collecting player signups for the next few weeks. The player signup page is at:http://www.signupgenius.com/ go/5080C4AA4AA29A64-jvregular
ONE CAVEAT... the game schedule may change. So you can check the blog and/or check back to the signup periodically and adjust your signup as necessary. If you need to make a correction and can’t figure it out, just drop me an emailmr.digital@seffren.com
Some notes:
- LOCAL away games will not have formal carpools. Parent will need to drive their kids to these games and/or arrange with a friend for a ride. These games are 4/18 – Robbinsdale Cooper, and 5/2 Benilde St. Margaret.
- We will provide carpool assistance for the longer travel away games such as: 4/11 – Prior Lake, and 4/25 – Maple Grove
- When you sign up, please indicate the number of EXTRA kids you can transport, so we can know how many seats we have available.
- On the signup page, the time listed is the departure time necessary to get you there for warmups, 45-60 mins in advance of game time which is 6:00 pm.
URGENT: We need to know ASAP who will be driving to Prior Lake on Thursday. Please sign up now if you can drive. http://www.signupgenius.com/ go/5080C4AA4AA29A64-drivers

JV Practice Tomorrow
JV will be having practice at Lions Park in Golden Valley tomorrow. Practice will begin at 5:00. That means cleats on, jogged and stretched by 5, not getting to practice at 5. Also, as we have mentioned in practice and at the meetings this year if you plan on playing in the games on Thursday you must be at the practice before the game. If you have a valid excuse for not being able to make it you must contact one of the coaches before practice. Don't forget to dress for the weather!!!!

Practice this week.
Yes, there's still snow on all of our fields. It's put us in a bit of a bind.
We heard back from the facilities coordinator today and have obtained some additional indoor time [Thank you Sara]. Outdoor practices will start the week of the 8th. Those will be finalized later this week when the MNYU schedule comes out.
Wednesday 4/3 6-7:30pm WJH structure - Boys V, JV
Sunday 4/7 6-8pm WJH structure - all team practice
Sunday 4/14 6-8pm WJH structure - JV only practice
In the mean time, if you can find a dry patch of grass - go throw! But be careful, the ground is uneven/thawed/frozen etc.
Sorry the weather is being stubborn!
Thanks for your patience,
Erin

Spring Break + outdoor stuff
Hi all,
Unless the sidebar wasn't clear, there is not practice for any of our teams this week because of spring break and also because our indoor time slots are over.
Since there is still snow on the ground, we will be evaluating what we can and cannot do during the first week of April.
The MNYU (MNHS) has decided to push games back to the week of April 8th because of the weather. If the snow melts, we will post practice times as they become available.

MERCHANDISE (spirit wear)
ALL orders must be handed in tonight with payment included. If you've misplaced your order form I will have extra forms at JV practice tonight. Or you can download and print out the order form from the previous blog.
These sweatshirts and sweat pants are a great deal! What a wonderful way to show your either on the Hopkins Ultimate team or support it. Players and parents, the blankets ( in my opinion) are an invaluable necessity for watching or participating in ultimate frisbee. Wrap it around you to stay warm, dry, or to block the wind. Use it to sit on when the ground is damp or cold. Another great use is to cover your car seats for your son or daughter to sit on after a wet or muddy game :-)
I'll see you tonight !

Chicago Invite
If you are going to Chicago tomorrow and you haven't turned in your payment yet, it MUST be turned in at practice tonight. Nobody will get on the bus without having paid.
The bus will arrive at the Adath parking lot at noon on Friday, and will depart at 12:30. Please be on time to check in, load your gear, and get settled on the bus. Do not make everyone wait for you! The bus will be making a dinner stop on the way to Chicago, but make sure you've eaten lunch or bring one with you. Breakfast is provided at the hotel, bagels and fruit will be at the field, as well as team snacks. The tournament provides pizza at the end of the day Saturday, but that's pretty early, so the kids will want to eat again later, which they are responsible for. There are a number of restaurants right out of the hotel, and the parent chaperones will set guidelines as to where and when players go. There will be a dinner stop on the way home again on Sunday night.
It's going to be cold and possibly wet this weekend, so BE PREPARED!!! Erin spoke at the meeting last week about how to pack for the weather, and all of your coaches and captains can help you if you have any questions that haven't already been answered regarding what you'll need this weekend. Make sure you have more socks than you think you need, because changing these between games makes a big difference. This is not the kind of weather to be playing in only shorts; tights, leggings, sweats are a must. Also, keeping your hands and head warm when you aren't playing are essential. Have a jacket handy that you can wear when you aren't playing. There is a pool/hot tub at the hotel, so pack a bathing suit.
Every player is responsible for having their own reusable water bottle. As customary for away tournaments, there will be a team snack bag for each team, but players should still pack special items they want for themselves. Everyone should have a couple of plastic trash bags to put things in in case of rain/snow.

CHICAGO INVITE UPDATE...AGAIN!
Okay everyone, thank you for your patience! We've finally got all the details worked out.
The team will be traveling to Chicago by coach bus. The bus will be departing from the back of the Adath Synagogue at 12:30 on Friday, March 12. THAT MEANS ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN STARTS AT NOON SO THE BUS CAN LEAVE AT 12:30!!! Do not make everyone wait for you, please be on time!
The team will be staying at the Super 8Aurora. The boys stayed in this hotel last year for Centrals and had a good experience. It's located about 15-20 minutes from the fields, and within walking distance of restaurants for dinner on Saturday night. PARENTS; they have offered us a group rate of 58.65 per night plus tax. The rooms will all be held as part of the team block until check in, at which time they will change over to your name with your credit card. WE MUST GUARANTEE ALL ROOMS AS OF MONDAY, MARCH 11TH, SO I NEED A FINAL CONFIRMATION FROM ALL PARENTS WHO ARE TRAVELING IN ORDER TO HOLD A ROOM. AFTER THAT DATE, ROOMS WILL BE PUT BACK INTO CIRCULATION. ALSO AFTER THAT DATE, IF YOU'VE ASKED FOR A ROOM, IT MUST BE PAID FOR, AS THE TEAM WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL ROOMS BEING HELD AFTER THAT POINT.
PARENTS, I ALSO NEED TO KNOW IF YOU WILL BE TRAVELING ON THE BUS WITH THE TEAM. THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM, AND THE BUSES ARE EQUIPPED WITH WIFI, AND COMFORTABLE SEATS! THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF $40.00 per PERSON TO RIDE THE BUS...MUCH LESS THAN YOU'D SPEND ON GAS!
The total player cost for the trip will be $140.00. Please mail a check to Sara immediately, bring a check to practice on Sunday, and give it to Wyatt, or call Sara with a credit card; we can now process them directly to our team checking account, but there is a fee if you chose this option. For this amount it would be $5.00.
AS ALWAYS, PLEASE MAKE CHECKS OUT TO HOPKINS ULTIMATE.
IF YOU'RE MAILING YOUR CHECK, SEND IT TO-
Sara Mekler
12410 Huntingdon Lane
Minnetonka, MN 55305

IF YOU'RE MAILING YOUR CHECK, SEND IT TO-
Sara Mekler

You must be paid in order to board the bus on Friday.

Chicago Invite- UPDATE
The varsity and girls teams will be traveling by bus to Chicago. We will be using Northfield Lines, the same company we've used to travel to Winnipeg for many years. The buses are very nice and are equipped with wifi.
There will be room on the bus for plenty of parents, so please let me know if you will be riding the bus. As I noted in the last post, there will be a small fee, which will be determined once we know how many parents will be on the bus.
Please scroll down to the last Chicago Invite post to access the sign up genius.
TOTAL COST FOR THIS TRIP WILL BE POSTED BY WEDNESDAY EVENING, ALONG WITH HOTEL DETAILS.
Girls Denver tournament
The girls will be flying to Denver to play in the East Invite over the weekend of April 12-14. Travel plans are still being finalized, and the girls will be discussing more details of the trip at their get-together this weekend. I will post a full blown description with all details, costs, and a link to the sign up genius as soon as we finalize a few more things, and the girls are able to talk about their fundraising event to benefit their travel.
Varsity Paideia Cup tournament
The varsity team will be traveling to Atlanta from April 12-14 to participate in the Paideia Cup with other elite teams from across the country. This is their only opportunity every year to compete against many of these teams. We're still finalizing travel details, but expect that we'll be leaving in the afternoon on Friday and returning late in the evening on Sunday. We are lucky to have a wonderful family who hosts the players and coaches, so we don't have the expense of a hotel, but airfare, rental vans, tournament fees, and coaches travel expenses and per diem still all have to be factored in to the final cost. I will have a final total price by Friday, but am expecting that number to be around $500.00. There is some fundraising money to be allocated for this trip and the boys are going to talk about doing a varsity specific fundraiser, which could have a huge impact on the final cost. The other thing that can save everyone some money is if anyone has extra frequent flier miles they would like to donate for a coaches ticket...we've had that offer before, and will never turn it down!
PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS TRIP UNTIL YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND, AS WE ARE COMMITING TO AIRFARE AND RENTAL VEHICLES. THERE WILL BE A $100.00 DEPOSIT DUE AFTER YOU SIGN UP, TO HOLD YOUR SPACE. YOU MAY MAIL A CHECK TO SARA, BRING ONE TO WYATT AT PRACTICE, OR YOU CAN NOW CALL SARA WITH A CC #! We just got the square hooked up to the team bank account, so we're able to take credit cards. There is a fee of $3.00 for transactions of $100.00 or less, $5.00 up to $200.00.
Checks as always, should be made out to Hopkins Ultimate. Mail to-

Parents, this is a fabulous tournament, probably the most likely to have good weather, and the level of play is unmatched...I can guarantee if you go, there will be moments when you shake your head in amazement and ask someone next to you "did that just happen?" I know I've been accused of being an Ultimate addict, but there is something incredible about watching these boys play against high level competitors, and being witness to what they really are capable of.
Parents will be staying in a hotel, yet to be determined, close to the host family and the field.

Chicago Invite - GIRLS AND VARSITY
Both the varsity and girls teams will be traveling to Naperville Illinois from March 15-17 to participate in the Chicago Invite. We've been discussing this with the teams for a while, and have asked them to speak to their parents about attending, so hopefully this isn't catching anyone by surprise! We would love to have as many parent chaperones as possible traveling with us. We have 2 options for travel this year; coach bus and parent carpools. With both teams traveling, we would need a minimum of 6 parents driving in order to consider that option, and that's figuring most parents can transport 5-6 players. We need to know ASAP if you are planning on attending this tournament both as a player and a chaperone so we can make our decision on travel. Costs vary quite a bit depending on mode of transportation. I'm not able to give you an exact number yet, as I don't know how many players are going, but figure in the $100.00 range with parent drivers, and $160.00-$200.00 range depending on # of players and parent bus riders if we use the coach bus. There will be a small fee for parents riding the bus(probably $30-50). And as always, if we carpool, we will reimburse those parents asking to be reimbursed for their gas, with valid receipts. If the team travels by bus, and you decide you'd still like to drive, there is no reimbursement. We're still finalizing hotel details, but parent's rooms are their own expense. Please also know, if you've never traveled with the team before, it's a wonderful way to experience Ultimate and really get to know the game and your child's coaches and teammates. It's also not a vacation...in the evenings, the coaches deserve and are given free time away from OUR children, so please know that we as parents are making a commitment to supervise the players in the evening.

Pat McGraw's Car

All JV players should meet at Lions Park in Golden Valley at 11:15 and on the road by 11:30 at the latest. St.Johns is about a hour and 15 minutes away. As for the tournament itself, first game is at 1:30 and the last game of the round robin is at 6:55. After the last game bracket play will begin at 8:15. Every player needs to bring a "Kit" to this tournament - remember that this is an indoor tournament so sneakers, not cleats. If you do not know what a "Kit" is check the blog on the right side in red writing will explain what every Hurtem is responsible for bringing. This is an all day indoor tournament so I would suggest bringing food to eat during our breaks and/or money in case we have the opportunity to go eat.

Please bring this with you Sunday morning and give it to Sara or Wyatt when you check in for departure.
You will be responsible for the following meals; brunch/lunch on the way to Duluth, dinner Sunday night and a fast food stop on the way out of town Monday night. The hotel will serve breakfast. MLK Tournament in Duluth
The varsity team will be participating in a tournament January 20-21 in Duluth, and we need parent chaperones to travel with the team. The first game will start at 1:00 on Sunday, and the final game will begin at 5:00 on Monday. The team will need to leave by approx 8:30 am Sunday morning in order to allow time for a stop along the way to eat. I'm making reservations for Sunday night at a hotel on Canal Park, and will add any parents who are interested in traveling with us. This is a tournament that we can only attend with parent drivers, in order to keep the cost down for each player. The team will reimburse parents for gas if they request it, and submit receipts.
I'm anticipating a cost per player between $50.00-65.00, and will be able to finalize the amount once I know how many players will be going.
Parents, please email me at semekler@gmail.com if you are able to chaperone. Thank you!

Winter Practices starting soon!
A note about winter practices:
We'll be starting with our Sunday WJH practices on 1/13. Practice will still be in the structure, but we have been asked to enter WJH through the front door instead of the lower door. Please keep this in mind when communicating with parents about where rides should drop off/pick up.
Since other facilities are still on winter break, please bear with us as we finalize weekday practice spaces and times. Keep an eye on the blog for more info soon.
I hope you've remained active during your break - lifting and cross training during our off season helps to prevent injury when we go outside.
See you soon!
Erin
Update - facilities has pushed us back one week, so we'll see you on the 13th instead of the 6th. Sorry about this.

JV Scrimmage Saturday 11/10
Update 11/8
Thanks for the great responses! The scrimmage will be taking place, but the time has been moved back to 11:30 due to availability. Please arrive at the fields at 11:00 for warmups. See you there!
Update 11/7
Currently we only have 6 players attending. Please spread the word to your fellow Hurtems so we can get enough to play on Saturday! If we do not have enough by the end of Thursday we will need to cancel the scrimmage.
In addition, because of the low numbers and our proximity to the fields in St. Louis Park we will NOT be having a carpool.
Hi Hurtems!
If you are a JV player there is still one more chance to play outside before winter comes! We have set up a scrimmage with our friends at the St. Louis Park team for this coming Saturday. This is a great opportunity to play some Ultimate outside before the snow hits. Here are the details:
Please sign up in the comments if you wish to attend. Also please indicate if you or your parent can drive to the game. I look forward to seeing you this weekend!

HBTS notes
Tomorrow (Thursday) is a HBTS only practice, 6-9pm. HBTS players should make it a priority. Please also make sure that you've sent in your materials to Sara.
There have been a lot of questions at practice about what to bring and what kind of gear is necessary. Your captains are really good resources. There are also past blog posts here about KITS:
http://hurtult.blogspot.com/search/label/KITS
Please pack for all conditions (the nature of Toasty Warm) and keep an eye on the weather for more information. When in doubt: Layer.

EXIT 69 TOURNAMENT
Upperclassmen may sign up for this coming weekend's tournament with the link below. Please look at the sign up carefully as you must sign up on each day if you're planning on being there for the whole tournament. The players plan their own carpools, but if parents are planning on attending and driving, you may post the number of players you can accomadate if you are interested in offering a ride to anyone else.
Per our team policy, players are allowed to drive themselves to this tournament because it is just under the 50 mile limit we have set as a boundary. As always, it's then up to parents to decide if they want their player to drive/ride with players, or if they prefer to drive. We always ask that only our oldest players drive when possible, and obviously, they may only transport as many players as they have seatbelts for. The kids usually will all contribute a few dollars to the driver for gas, or buy them lunch...whatever they want to work out :-)

Winnipeg info
PLAYER INFO-the cost for Winnipeg this year will be $200.00. This price includes the coach bus ride up and back, as well as back and forth to the field during the tournament, the hotel, breakfast, some field snacks, all tournament fees, and all coaches expenses. The tournament hosts a dinner on Saturday night, but we've found in past years that our players sometimes like to order pizzas or some other type of food later in the evening. They are also responsible for their dinner Friday night on the way to Winnipeg, and Sunday night on the way home. The bus will stop at a mall with a food court or a strip mall with a variety of fast food choices. They may also want some money for tournament gear(discs, shirts, shorts, etc). We will be bringing typical "ultimate" snacks to the field for each team, but if players have specific foods they like to have at every tournament, they should bring that themselves. PLEASE remember to bring at least one refillable water bottle; two would be better!
We will be leaving from the back of the Adath Parking lot, directly behind Lindbergh Center, at NOON; this means you need to be there at 11:30 to check in and load your things on the bus. The last few years we've gotten back to Adath between 12:00-12:45a.m. Monday morning.
I will need a copy of everyone's passport, as well as a signed parent permission slip(link) along with your check, no later than Tuesday, October 9th. This means you can mail it all to me, or bring it to practice and give it to Erin/Wyatt, but in order to expedite the process of border crossing, I need to send all passport information to border control by Wednesday, so this is a FINAL date. Please do it sooner if possible.
Make checks out to HOPKINS ULTIMATE
mail them to - Sara Mekler

PARENT INFO-for the parents who wish to travel with us, the cost of riding on the bus will be $75.00. If you choose to drive, please know that this is not reimbursed by the team since you are not transporting any players, and have the option of riding on the bus!!! I will be driving, as I feel it's always important to have one car up there, so you won't have to rely on the bus to get to the fields and back for the games. But, it's really important to have parents on the bus so the coaches have some help with OUR children...
I will need passport info and birthdates from parent travelers by October 9th as well, being that everyone on the bus will be listed on a document sent to border control.

As always, choosing players who get to go on these trips is difficult. There is no perfect way, I assure you - and every year we are under the gun with the tournament registration deadline. If you are on this list and do not attend practices (or notify your captains or me with an explanation of your absences) between now and the tournament - I will not let you get on the bus. Promise.

Feed my in-box update
We've found some answers to everyone's questions regarding the late arrivals of blog posts when you subscribe to feed my in-box. Apparently, this service only sends out emails once a day, unless you subscribe to a full version, and pay $5.00 a month...per email address. Obviously, this is not something the team is going to do, and not something I even recommend each of you do on your own. If you bookmark the blog, during busy times of the season, it's pretty easy to take a quick peek at it a few times a day if needed. We will continue to look for other services that are similar, and will give us the freedom to have notices sent out in real time, without any fees. I'll keep you updated, but in the meantime, we appreciate your patience as we continue to look at new options. We're attempting to embrace new technology as you may have noticed with our Winnipeg sign up, and would love to hear what you think about it. Thanks for your patience!

The following people either have none or only part of their registration materials in, and will not be considered for the HBTS rosters, if they don't either have them at Sara's by 4:00 Tuesday, or they've contacted Sara.

First thing; if we don't have all of your registration materials-all forms completely filled out, and payment, you will not be put on the HBTS roster...at this point, 12 of the 36 people signed up are in this position. If your paperwork and check isn't either mailed or dropped off at Sara's by Tuesday, your spot will be given away. If there is a problem, contact Erin or Sara immediately.
Parents, please let me know if you are planning on traveling to Winnipeg with us. Whether you're planning on riding the bus or driving, I'd like to get a head count on how many adults will be there. We are going to be staying at the Country Inn and Suites this year. They've given us a group rate of $105.00 per night plus tax, but I need to give them a final number by the end of the week for how many rooms we will need.
I'm finalizing all the costs, but am looking at the price for the trip this year to be @$200.00 give or take $15.00. I'll have a final price up on the blog by Tuesday. Once this price is determined, it will be due by the end of next week.

New season, new technology. We are trying a new and hopefully better way for players and drivers to sign up for tournaments. Signupgenius.com is a free system that should be easier for everyone. With signupgenius, you can sign up without having to create an account. However, if you do sign up for an account, you will receive emails when changes are made to the signup page, you’ll also receive email reminders as necessary, and it becomes easier to sign up for subequent events. Again, there is no requirement to setup an account – entirely your choice. If you have any questions about the signupgenius, you can send an email tohopkinsultimate3@gmail.com. Also, we’d really like to know what you think of the signupgenius so please send your comments to that email address as well. Thanks
And thank you to David "Digital" Seffren for all the work you put into creating this!

3: you've helped out at Cub, or will be working a fundraising shift.
4: your parents have already given you permission to go!!! Don't sign up if you haven't cleared it with them yet!

Registration
Thank you to everyone who attended our registration meeting last night; it was great to see so many returning and new players and parents! If you were unable to attend, the registration forms will now be available for you to download and print out. You may bring them to practice and turn everything in to coach Erin, in which case Wyatt will have a disc for you that night, or mail them to me at the address on the form, and I will then let Wyatt know that you can be given a disc at the next practice. No one will be allowed to attend practice without being registered after next Thursday, September 27th. If you have any questions regarding the forms, I'm happy to answer them; my email address is on the right hand side of the page above the calendar.
All forms here-one is information only, the rest need to be filled out and returned

Fall Practices start 9/11
Hurtems & Hertets,
All team fall practices start this week, and we're excited to be back with the family!
Reminders:
- Practice starts at 6pm, which means we're running our warmup at 6pm. Please arrive early enough to cleat up.
- Each Hurtem/Hertet is responsible for bringing a White jersey, a Dark jersey, their own water bottle (preferably reusable), and a disc with their name on it. Grey jerseys don't count!
- We will be keeping attendance at practices this year - so make sure you find the sign up sheet at every practice.
Locations
- On Tuesdays we're at WJH behind the structure. This is a new field to us, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find it.
- The construction at Maetzold is complete! We're excited about the turf and the lights. We'll be here on Thursdays and occasional Wednesdays in October.
Parents!
In the fall we battle with sunset for when practice is over. When we're at Maeztold, we'll have lights so it won't matter. When we're at West, we'll often finish practice 15-30 minutes after dark. I will try to post pick up times accurately on the blog before hand, but just know we're at the mercy of conditions.
See you on Tuesday!

FALL REGISTRATION MEETING
We will be holding our fall registration meeting on Wednesday, September 19th at 7:00pm in room W230 HHS. This meeting is for all parents and players who are interested in playing on any of the Hopkins Ultimate teams this year. We will be going over all the information regarding seasons, practice, games, tournaments, rules, and regulations. Coaches and captains will be speaking and answering questions. Please make it a priority to attend with your player! Registration forms will be available at the meeting. If they are available sooner, we will post a link for them on the blog so you'll be able to download them ahead of time.
Information regarding the official start of practice will be posted soon; we're just waiting for confirmation on all of our field space requests. In the meantime, get outside after school and throw with a friend!
Sorry for the earlier confusion; the meeting is on Wednesday. Thank you to the parents who noticed my mistake and let me know!
