Track Practice

Tomorrow we will be starting the first of a series of track practices leading up to acceleration. They aren't mandatory but we will be noting who is showing up to practices.

Finally, the soccer season and my injuries are over so Greg and I should be there every time. They will be Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:55 at the Track by the Athletic Dept. Office. You can leave whenever you need to.

We are going to start slow but eventually really push it but feel free to run however you are comfortable. Don't worry, I am really slow and out of shape.

Greg and I have set the goal to be able to run four miles at a decent rate by the time acceleration starts. I know that sounds like a lot but we will start small. It is important to have a good endurance base for when you start acceleration.

I hope everyone and especially Varsity hopefuls will be there.

Acceleration MN

I have reposted the acceleration thread because many people have expressed interest in doing acceleration but I have not recieved emails from anyone! IF YOU CAN DO ACCLERATION YOU HAVE TO EMAIL ME!

Alright, here is the acceleration plan:

Acceleration will begin Monday, January 8 from 7-8:30 and will continue every Monday and Wednesday for around 6 weeks. It will cost around $120-$150 per participant. The location is 2530 Xenium Lane Plymouth, MN 55441.

This is a very intense program but also very effective. Talk to Michael Arenson or Zach Alter if you want a first hand testimonial. One important element of the workout though is that you must go to almost all of them. Please only sign up if you are dedicated to attending.

This is a very good idea for players looking to go to nationals but is no way mandatory.

If you can FOR SURE (that means talk to your parents) go to Acceleration at the said times send me an email ASAP so I can iron out all the details. There is only room for 16 people right now so email me fast. I will collect checks after I have gotten everything finalized.

for more information on acceleration you can visit the website at http://www.accelerationmn.com/spq.html

Email me ASAP if you plan on doing acceleration
my email is cpeaslee@gmail.com

HERt FORCE PRACTICE

HERt FORCE will be practicing this Saturday and next at Lone Lake from 1-3:30p.

Fundraising time!!

Ron Curme and the Executive Committee are working hard to get us some winter practice space - thank you all for your patience!! We will let you know the finalized schedule as soon as we can.

As we are looking to get a lot of full field indoor space this year, we need to get started on some serious fundraising. I know that some of you have some great ideas for making money, so let's get started!! Feel free to set up an event - then we can post it on the blog to notify everyone and have a good turnout.

If you have any questions regarding fundraising, Ron Curme is your go-to guy!

Thank you,
Your friendly neighborhood coach Kelley

PS - Please don't forget to thank and give a big hug to Ron and the rest of the Exec Committee's hard work and dedication!!

LOOKING FOR MORE ULTIMATE?

i know that varsity practice is from 12:30-4 on saturday at Maetzold, but what if i want to play more? show up to Nokomis to be at Squalloween! just be back to practice by 12:30. here's a note from the Tournament Director:

As far as I am concerned everyone is welcome to come, no matter when they have to leave. If people need to leave after one game we can always mix up the teams again. We're going to play by ear a little, and see where things go. But, seeing as this is a fundraiser, we would like to get as many people as possible to come out and play!
Hope to see lots of Hopkins players tomorrow!
Thanks a bunch!
-Bubbles

Capt. Pract-Postponed ... Acceleration?

Hey, I'm going to have to postpone captains practice for a few weeks, I am injured and can't really lead it.

Feel free to keep your self in shape though.

Lastly, who would be interested in doing Acceleration MN(completely optional)? WE would do it in January probably, probably about two nights a week, and probably about $185... just loosely who would be interested?
