PARENT DRIVERS
Our first Sunday Blitz is this weekend Nov.17th, 12pm-7pm.
The kids have committed their time and we now have 46 players signed up for Sunday ! Thank you:-). We could really use 5+ additional parent drivers. The areas the kids will be covering are quite large. We are sooooo close to having all the pieces in place! Once all the pieces are in place (40+ kids/parent drivers/2 kids per car) we have a recipe for a FUN, successful and lucrative day!
HUrt players..... Ask your parents to help drive. Show them the blog and Signupgenius, watch the video with your parent. Help the adults sign up if they've never done so before. Remember; Parent drivers can win prizes/cash too!
If this Sunday doesn't work for you.....there's always next Sunday.
Parent participation is crucial (mandatory) for the club to run efficiently and smoothly.
Thank you,
Debbi
P.S. A big shout out to players and parents already signed up! If you've signed up for both blitz days....double shout out!

What HUrt does in the winter
Since the fall season is wrapping up in the next week or so, we wanted to remind you of your winter responsibilities:
1) help raise $$ - Cub Fundraiser October 30-31st. All HUrtems share this responsibility and so far the parents have done most (if not all) of the work: Sign up
2) heal - Rest, Ice, Compress & Elevate anything that's been bothering you.
3) get stronger - Improve. Prevent injury.
4) throw & catch - with purpose; with power.
5) recruit - the coaches challenge you to get ONE person who's never played ultimate to throw with you every TWO weeks*.
6) review the rules
*the HUrtem with the most recruits who stay and play spring ultimate will receive a prize.
have fun!

Wow! Great turnout for Cub!
Thank you to all the players and parents who squeezed this into their family calendar this weekend. (Thanks to you too, Mikey, for taking a shift.) The Cub manager was amazed that we could assemble such a good group with less than 24 hours notice. We will be on his list if another cancellation occurs.
Thanks to Judy Saltzman for lining up this gig. And hats off to Emma and Haley who worked hard Friday to organize the shifts and recruit players to fill the day.

Do your part to stir up some funds for all the
Hopkins Ultimate teams!

Your participation is important, so here’s what you can do:
1. Place an order. Catalogs and order forms can be picked up from Val Schoonover, or
2. Plan on coming to the Pampered Chef Show at Val Schoonover’s house on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5th at 7:00pm! Don’t forget to invite your moms and dads!
There will be interactive demonstrations, and great food to sample!
Send your email address to pcbarbs@comcast.net, so that she can send you an email invitation and a link to the on-line catalog to place an order.
***There will be PRIZES awarded to team members who collect orders of $100 or more, and a GRAND PRIZE to the Hurt/Hert member who has the most sales! All orders are to be turned in by Saturday, November 14th. The orders will be received in time for Thanksgiving!

Indoor Tournament Saturday
9:00 AM
11:00 AM
1:00 PM
4:00 PM
Have your shoes on ready for a warm up jog at 8:30 AM. Depending on how we do, we'll have more games after that. If we do well, the latest game will finish at 11:00 PM.
Because the tournament is coed and at most 3 boys will be on the field at any time, we're limiting the boys roster to the following boys:
Seniors:
Brian "Deuce" Wilson
Capt. Carl "Crazy Hot" Peaslee
Andrew "RZR" Kelley
Jovan "Tauntaun" Thompson (r)
David "Can-Swillas" Canillas (r)
Zach "Talter" Alter
Stephen "Rubeans" Rubinyi
Juniors:
Capt. Greg "Garenson" Arenson
Sam "Brick" Brickwedde
Sophomores:
Robbie "Shaps" Shapiro
Asa Gottlieb (r)
John "Smalter" Alter (r)
You might wonder why those 3 sophomore names appear at the end. Bottom line, they exhibited characteristics of a good teammate on Wednesday night.
Those on the list should email coach Lou [hotlou@gmail.com] to confirm their invitation. Those not on the list are encouraged to come support their teammates.
What to bring: water bottle, shoes, shorts, jerseys (black, gold, white), discs (to throw and to sell), snacks, money (for lunch), and a strong desire to let Lou make you better at ultimate.
Hydrating right now matters. Drink some water after reading this post. Then read it again and have another glass of water.
See you Saturday.
