JV - Granite City Classic
Players: please post whether you will be there Saturday and/or Sunday.
Parents and players: we'll need drivers both days/both ways. Please post in the comments if you can drive, have room for X players in your vehicle, and which day.
We'll plan to meet at Lindbergh at 7:00 a.m. each day for a 7:15 departure. Whitney Field is located at 1445 Northway Drive.
Update from Coach Mike: Our B/C Pool games are scheduled at North Junior High. Please arrive there instead of at Whitney Park. Captains - come to Whitney Park to represent us at the Captains Meeting on Saturday morning at 9:00 sharp. Our first game will be at 9:30 AM both days, and our last game should be finished by 2:30 or 2:45 each day. We will have exactly 3 games each day.

All players should bring the following to every practice: cleats, a dark shirt, a WHITE (not gray) shirt, your OWN water, and a disc (if you have one). Dress for the weather. We play through all weather (if fields are playable) except thunder and lightning. Every HUrtem is responsible for being Toasty Warm, and for transporting their water/gear TO AND FROM the fields. We leave the field better than we found it

2014/2015 Potential Tournaments
The following Tournaments and approx dates are for PLANNING purposes only! I receive many requests for tournament dates, practice days etc... for the entire year. This is quite difficult to do however, I'm trying to inform parents/players as early as possible. I do not have exact dates/times for several events Unless our participation is marked CONFIRMED our involvement is contingent on our 'Bid' being accepted. This means players signed up accurately, parents signed up accurately and their availability to provides transportation and/or chaperone at these events.
NOTE: Many changes are happening with our 'traditional' tournament format. Events we always plan to participate at during the year have changed their dates, bid process or in one case, the tournament itself may not happen this spring. We are exploring alternate options as noted below. The list below is NOT COMPLETE. It is what I have at this time. Thanks, Debbi.

What is Hopkins Ultimate?
Mission: The goal of HUrt and HERt Force is to promote the sport of Ultimate within the Twin Cities through participation in, encouragement of, and recruitment for every level of Ultimate, including high school, club and college play. And, to strive for the highest level of competitive excellence in Ultimate.
What's Ultimate? Two teams of seven players compete on a field 70 yards long, 30 yards wide. Everyone is free to move, except the person with the disc. Upon catching the disc, you stop, and pass it within 10 seconds or it's a turnover. If someone drop the disc or it's intercepted, that's a turnover. Play rarely stops except for a score. A point is scored when a player catches the disc in an end-zone 25 yards deep. Typically, the first team to reach 15 points (with a two-point margin) wins, but there are some variations to cap the length of time played. The game is self-officiated.

Josh Margolis can play both days. He will need rides to and from the tournament both Saturday & Sunday
aaron raskin can go both days, my dad can drive Saturday and has room for me and 2 others.
jacob elias can play both days my mom can drive on sunday
Ryan Franklin will be there both days dad can drive 2 others on saturday
Michael Lieberman is attending and needs rides. My dad might be able to drive if there arent any drivers.
Ben Pavelka can go both days. I will need a ride saturday morning but a parent can drive home saturday and sunday if needed.
Mr. Brandys will be there both days i will be needing a ride to and from the tourny both days
So what time do we have to be at North?
Will Cohen is out of town so can't be there.
I'd like players to be to the fields around 8:45. If you leave Lindbergh at 7:15, you should be fine.
I still dont understand the north junior high thing and if thats saturday or sunday?
Jonathan Lovagnini can go both days. I need to get a ride both days. Can only play till 3 on saturday.
North Junior High in St. Cloud is the North your talking about. Correct? That is where the games are. Carpool leaves from Lindbergh. Correct?
Sam Kmiansky will need a ride to the tournament on both days. my parents said they will drive back home from the tourney for which ever day will need more drivers.

Ethan Friedman will be there until about 1:30 on Saturday and not at all on Sunday.
Zach Shear can go both days but he needs a ride there and back
Drew cant go the first day but will try and come the second day.
